The hiding pattern charts, live

Every pattern was once a rescue.

When overwhelming experience met unwilled aloneness, parts of you learned to hide, and the hiding worked. That is worth honoring before anything else. These fifty-three patterns, adapted from Townsend's Hiding From Love, are catalogued here in two families per structure: internal patterns that run inside your own head, and relational patterns that run between you and other people.

Read this page with kindness toward yourself. Recognizing your own patterns here is a sign of health, not a verdict. Patterns are what resilient people built when they had no better option. Growth gives the better option.
